I have been extraordinarily frustrated by the delays in the MUNI train from the new T Third service (and I've been late to work every day this week as a result). I hear you brother! I hear you! ;)Passionate Eaterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14492203392706191554noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17865316.post-22962449371696006952007-04-12T08:38:00.000-07:002007-04-12T08:38:00.000-07:00I wish we had a good public transportation system ...I wish we had a good public transportation system here in OC. Much cheaper and less stressful than driving in the city and looking for parking.Chubbypandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12930326230203564199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17865316.post-83901101670022614952007-04-11T03:27:00.000-07:002007-04-11T03:27:00.000-07:00I'd just fly to the west just for that oysters!Bu...I'd just fly to the west just for that oysters!
But all the flatforms and the trains look so modern and clean, eh?!Gattina Cheunghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17259299908195438080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17865316.post-65877018720478887992007-04-10T18:49:00.000-07:002007-04-10T18:49:00.000-07:00Just what I needed... a field trip to San Francisc...Just what I needed... a field trip to San Francisco! Brings back a very nice memory of taking the In-laws to SF for a visit.....we used public transportation the entire time(why is it that PDX, SF, and even Seattle has excellent public transportation, but we in SoCal are not so lucky), and it turned out to be one of the least stressful and fun vacations we've had! I could eat a few dozen of those oysters right about now(did I tell you that the Missus once downed almost 4 dozen Herself???)....KirkKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05877072133631180313noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17865316.post-80502040077168918352007-04-10T15:57:00.000-07:002007-04-10T15:57:00.000-07:00Mmm... those oysters look delicious! You made me crave oysters so I'm going to have to research which restaurant still does that deal.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17865316.post-78275880642388522552007-04-10T13:18:00.000-07:002007-04-10T13:18:00.000-07:00Hi passionate...my sister lives in San Jose and he...Hi passionate...my sister lives in San Jose and her and the family are always heading over to SF to enjoy the sights, sounds and foods. Food bloggers apparently now specialize in posts about... public transportation :-)

The picture you took at West Portal station brings to mind new frustration about how the Metro subway overhead wire replacement is taking eons. Kind of a drag, huh? I feel like in any other major city, this project would've taken a few months, tops. Still, you're right that Muni does go pretty much everywhere, for however much we might complain about long delays and overcrowding. (Unfortunately, though, the first days of T-Third service have been much less than stellar.)

Luscious oyster pictures! PE, I think you're the only blogger I know who could so seamlessly integrate pictures of Muni and BART trains with some great looking oysters :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17865316.post-77074118663414610482007-04-10T07:11:00.000-07:002007-04-10T07:11:00.000-07:00everything is so clean and fresh and beautiful loo...everything is so clean and fresh and beautiful looking! from the train system to those spectacular oysters. oooh how i want some right now with a martini.

why do the chairs in the train look like they're upholstered in fabric?!pinknesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16753673917404683996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17865316.post-6523949158706897142007-04-10T00:13:00.000-07:002007-04-10T00:13:00.000-07:00my godd, the oysters are so cheap !! btw, the subw...my godd, the oysters are so cheap !! btw, the subways there are much cleaner than the ones in NYC though :)Melting Wokhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03496197037949709263noreply@blogger.com
