Dear Food Blogging Friend,
I owe you an explanation.
I need the patch, except not the patch for nicotine, but for something infinitely more addictive: television.
I can't stop watching the NBA playoffs or the after-show or the sports segment in the 11:00 o'clock news. I can't stop reading sports columns. I can't stop listening to sports radio. There isn't a minute that goes by that I am not thinking, breathing, dreaming about the Phoenix Suns, and it has gotten even worse since the latest fiasco.
But it isn't you. Seriously, it's me. Just look at the innards of my fridge and you'll see for yourself. See what I've been eating? Condiments and drinks. I have also been eating cans of cold ravioli and cereal. . . Without milk.
The purpose of this post is to promise you that I will back to my food blogging self in a few weeks, which means I'll be leaving extensive comments and posting again! Okay, back to tonight's Spurs vs. Suns game! See you friends soon.
Passionate Eater = Passionate Sports Fan. There's more to life that food? Whodathunk!? HAHA!
ReplyDeletewhat have you come to!! oh the humanity.
ReplyDeleteWe'll miss you but I understand - sometimes it's hard to balance our real and virtual lives! I hope your team wins and look forward to seeing your posts when you return. :)
ReplyDeleteAri (Baking and Books)
It's been a tough series for the Suns, hasn't it? Well, you'll be getting Amare and Diaw back soon. Looking forward to more posts :)
ReplyDeleteYou keep peanut butter in the fridge?
ReplyDelete^^^
ReplyDeleteThat was also my question :-D
Taking a break break from my basketball fever to let you (Melinda and Eric know that I indeed keep peanut butter in the fridge. I started doing it a year ago, when someone told me that it helps to preserve the nutty flavor longer and prevents the PB from going rancid. Not sure if it works, but I'm giving it some time to try it out! And there is plenty of room in my fridge for it! :) But the extreme downside is that it is REALLY hard to spread as a result!
ReplyDelete*LOL*
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your game :D
PE- I need to book a flight you, come into your kitchen and just cook you an entire week's worth of food...you poor thing! your refrig is so neglected!
ReplyDeleteI also keep peanut butter in the fridge esp after I opened it. It will keep longer and not turn rancid so fast :D
ReplyDeleteBut hey, you better eat...there's nothing to eat in the fridge. Just drinking condiments will not do ;p
Oh, you are one sick puppy.
ReplyDeleteCome back!
Man cannot live by food or blogging alone! Enjoy... passion is a good thing!
ReplyDeleteI keep peanut butter in my fridge too... I'm always paranoid about stuff going bad haha but yeah really hard to spread. But oh dear that's an empty fridge... :(
