My Thoughts Exactly

Visit Rick James's website for an excellent post on "blogging fatigue." I love that the fatigue has set in so bad, that I don't even write my own posts anymore, but just direct you to another blog, with a post written better than I could have done.

Simply put, I feel exactly like this.

get up... you can do it... here hold onto my arm, i think i see a light down at the end of the tunnel...

hey, its not a light... its the food bloggers' support group!

    they're here to rescue us!

  2. Actually, I know what the "bloggers support group" is like. I told Dylan that I was thinking about ending it all, and he did his best to try to convince me out of it. What are we going to do Rick James? It is a vicious cycle.

  3. Totally agree with you guys, Rick James and PE. I think it's definitely a vicious cycle, and I can see a lot of the bloggers getting a little fatigued up to this point...I get burnt out on it too. It's good to know that I'm not the only one undergoing these symptoms.

  4. PE, this happens in anything one does. I love my guitar, but there will be MONTHS that i don't touch it, leaving it to spiders to spread their love. Can't wait for next week.

  5. It is a dilemma when life gets in the way of the blog Elmo Monster and Eat, Drink, and Be Merry. They key is being able to step backwards and take a break from it for a while--we all need breaks. Photoshopping pictures and writing posts takes time (which is often in short supply), and I don't want to short-shrift readers with posts of fuzzy pictures and one-sentence headings that say, "I ate a piece of bread today." Unfortunately, sometimes my posts are actually like that.

My friends always tell me, "You have to remember who you started this blog for: you, yourself, and you." That is right. It is all about what you want to do, if you feel tired and just want to rest, that is okay too. Readers will keep more than busy on the archives.

  6. hey p.e.,

maybe we can just make obnoxious retarded comments on other peeps blog to stay in the blogging circle... and let our own blogs go to crap... oh.... i'm already doing that..

BTW, you just stole my next blogging headline "I ate a piece of bread today" ... thanks a lot p.e.!

  7. Hilarious Rick James! You made me laugh out loud at work again!

I've found that it is sometimes even too challenging for me to even leave halfway decent comments on other people's blogs. I am usually just saying, "That looks good. Again! See my previous comments on all your other posts."

Would you promise to continue reading my blog if I just put pictures on there and said, "Lookie! I said, 'Lookie!'"? There are some days (or everyday) that I feel like doing that.

  8. of course p.e. we can exchange Lookies anytime! only thing being i don't put any pictures up so it wouldn't be very fair to you unless you can read pics in braille..

maybe we should do a new blog together called reasons why i don't feel like blogging today... and then not blog on it, to make a point... ;P
